TGIF: Gratitude for My Longtime Car Companion

I had a post all planned out for this week and then life happened. My car broke down. And this time it is completely kaput. So we are in the process of looking for another car. Not something I am either experienced with or excited about doing.

So I am glad to take this moment to thank my current car for all the work it has done for me. I've driven through a redwood tree and a temperate rain forest. It has taken me all the way to San Francisco and back several times. Safely bringing me along Highway 101 through the twists and turns and sharp drops with amazing ocean views.

It's been the tour vehicle for numerous friends and family coming from everywhere to view our incredible sights here in the Pacific Northwest. It's been to and from dozens of retreats hauling materials for artistic endeavors and spiritual revelations. And carried the precious cargo of almost all of the kids in my life.

Beautiful blue Honda Accord almost 20 years old, thank you for your steady service all this time. May you find new life in your recycled parts.
