TGIF – What are you grateful for today?
I am grateful for the colors found in flowers.
What are you grateful for today?
“I know you think this world is too dark to even dream in color,
but I’ve seen flowers bloom at midnight.
I’ve seen kites fly in gray skies
and they were real close to looking like the sunrise,
and sometime it takes the most wounded wings
the most broken things
to notice how strong the breeze is,
how precious the flight.”
~Andrea Gibson

TGIF – What are you grateful for today?
I am grateful for our senses and the ability to pause and perceive what is beyond ourselves.
In one of those moments, stilled in the wetlands, we heard the zip of a hummingbird - no two! Two hummingbirds! By listening closely, we found them. And it took two of us to photograph the hummingbirds. At different spots in the path, we traded the camera so that we could remain there, still, quiet, observant, listening.
What are you grateful for today?
“Part of doing something is listening. We are listening. To the sun. To the stars. To the wind.”
Madeleine L'Engle, Swiftly Tilting Planet
