This is a podcast that does an in depth analysis of a single news story. Today's story, as I contemplated Psalm 23, was the case of Sudan killing unarmed protesters. It sounded horrible. Monitoring social media, they saw where protesters were gathering, they closed off the area, and started killing them. This is the military that has taken rule since they deposed the previous leader--which the protesters were in favor of. I've been thinking that I'm in a time of transition. The church is weird. My job is weird. Things are sliding and changing. I think that I'm going to refocus my thoughts here on art and trauma. As I did it, I was processing physical pain. One of my ribs was twisted a little bit and it was setting my rotator cuff on my left side on fire. This had been going on for a bunch of days. I am used to almost always being in pain but I was ready to be done with it. When I was painting, the pain receded and I didn’t think about it anymore. I have been sick. I'm ready to stand up and yell and be happy again! Except then I will be in a paroxysm of coughing. So, the yelling in my typing is because I have the actual energy of a gnat. Also, I just discovered the drop cap setting. Is that too annoying? We'll see. Among other things, I have also figured out how to streamline this website and simplify it. So welcome to our new look.
