For National Poetry Month and the Writing Prompt of Poetic Asides and NaPoWriMo And for those who cannot read my postcard rendering of the poem: a drizzy day cannot hide the majesty of the mountain out or the sunbreak among the trees or the swelling of river banks the majest of the mountain out overshadows the ego of the big city while the swelling of river banks dances in worshipful attendance overshadowing the ego of the big city the sunbreak among the trees dances in worshipful attendance these things, a drizzly day cannot hide

Beloved Your embrace is enslaving my heart Enrapturing my soul and pulling me close Reflecting the cosmos’ infinite abundance The light of the world wooing her love Enrapturing my soul and pulling me close Whispering sweet nothings of service and devotion The light of the world wooing her loves Enslaved to all in freedom’s universal dance Whispering sweet nothings of service and devotion Reflecting the cosmos’ infinite abundance Enslaved to all in freedom’s universal dance Your embrace is enslaving my heart Today is “Harriet Tubman Day.”  Tubman was abolitionist.  She helped many slaves escape to freedom on the Underground Railroad.  Reflect on slavery, in whatever form.
