Rabindranath Tagore   Chiron the Centaur in Greek mythology was wounded by an arrow poisoned by a Hydra. In his search for his own cure, he discovered how to heal others. In teaching others healing arts, he found comfort for his own pain. Jung believed that a "malady of the soul" was the best training a healer could receive. Going through the same pain teaches the Wounded Healer empathy and connects the healer and "patient" spiritually. This connection transforms and heals

Where is your light today? What is leading you? What is giving you hope? Joy? I am greatly disturbed by the events of the Trayvon Martin situation. This is not a commentary on whether he was legally correct or not, but on a society that makes it correct. I would like to simply offer a litany of the United Methodist Church that reflects the principles in our Social Principles. God in the Spirit revealed in Jesus Christ, calls us by grace to be renewed in the image of our Creator, that we may be one in divine love for the world. Today is the day God cares for the integrity of creation, wills the healing and wholeness of all life, weeps at the plunder of earth’s goodness. And so shall we. Today is the day God embraces all hues of humanity, delights in diversity and difference, favors solidari
