Yesterday, I continued the conversation on how we have difficult conversations. Fred Kofman, PhD, said on his video that hard conversations are like the tango. You dance and move and you will see things you didn't see (as will your partner). In fact, he insists that is the foundation to having a difficult conversation, remembering that your conversational partner is seeing something you are not seeing. So stay curious about that.
And then, my friend Deborah Globus of LaPadre.com said this on Facebook:
And I'll say one more thing on the topic [Colin Kaepernick]. Look at the hullaballoo this has caused. You wonder why these athletes decided that publicly refusing the anthem was a good idea. Look at the attention it gets.
This (the anthem) is a topic near and dear to peoples' hea...
