Tuesday’s Thoughts

In Christianity, we have just traveled through epiphany. Epiphany is an "ah ha" moment but it is also specifically that time when Jesus is found by the magi in Christian scripture. We often travel through the whole story of the magi searching for Jesus, finding him, Jesus & family escaping to Egypt, then living there, Herod dying, and then Jesus & family returning home in five minutes. Yep. We go through about 5 years in 5 minutes. Rush rush rush. We do that very well. I decided to break up the readings so each major event occurred on a different day. Today is the day Herod orders all the children in Bethlehem killed. I'm about one-week into my post-surgery recovery. Today, I feel a little shaky so I'd love all your thoughts and prayers and energy! I'm sharing my musings on the beginnings of the birth story of Moses and my art and haiku. Peace! I thought, "Switch out murder with cages and you have our national dialogue." White folks have constru...

Tuesday’s Thoughts – Journaling (journeying?) once again

I'm back to Bible Journaling after a brief foray into the Tao of Pooh. And a few days off while I finished my paper and presentation for my research proposal. :) Woot! Also, Kem Gambrell, PhD, at Gonzaga, is one of the best professors I've ever had. She managed to make research exciting. I created a reading plan through scripture for Advent. It is looking at birth stories. I'm using Torah and Gospels as my focus. (Old Testament and New Testament). I know there are some great birth stories in the Qur'an too! But I cannot readily flip to them. Maybe you'll share them? Onward! Advent 3: Genesis 4 Daily haiku and Bible journaling First in show Given without reservation Primal offering 12-4-2018: Advent 3: Genesis 4 Surgery is done! I have an arm that functions like ...
