Please join us on Sunday, November 27, 2011 in prayer. Pray on this day for all of those in need in the world. Pray for the hungry, the thirsty, the imprisoned. Pray for the abused, the alone, and the frightened. And while we are at it, let's pray for the abusers, the haters, and the warmongerers among us. That they find compassion and love and so be moved to compassionate loving. Pray at any time throughout this day.  November 27 marks the first day of Advent on the Christian calendar.  It symbolizes a preparation for something new.  Let's take this opportunity for prayer in hopes of creating something new. Feel free to RSVP here if you like:

Terri Stewart, 12/5/2010 This is a poem created by pondering the first week of Advent and prompted by reflections on the writings of Christine Valters Paintner, OblSB,PhD, REACE.  You can find here here.  The words that popped out to me during the pondering of her writings were: Stir Stay awake Waiting, anticipation Alertness, watchfulness Vitality, preparing for birth Birth of God into the world Sacred possibilities Tension Rest deeply Signs and portents I wonder what pops out to you during th...
