Praying for Peace

An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by a crane.

I'm sitting here this weekend pondering how I can help the world. I don't know if a thousand paper crimes is really the answer, but if I could make a thousand, what would my wish be? It wouldn't be equality, but justice.

Some of us need extra support to get to the same place as those who sit in "powerful" spots. Some of us need their communities to make room for them so they can contribute to society in ways that will make the world a better place. Some of us want to be the answer to some of the big questions that need to be answered to bring about peace and justice. We want to bring an end to racism, sexism, ageism, and ableism.

We can help. We can. Please make room for us at the table.
