In the wake of the attacks in Paris and several other places around the world this weekend, Maia Duerr, anthropologist and Zen practitioner, said on Facebook, "My act of peace for today: I will not argue with you. Noticing the violence that comes from fixed views, including and particularly my own... We humans can make everything so complex. And of course it is, on one level. I don't mean to diminish the complexity of the world. But we tend to layer on more complexity from our wounded psyches, and that is not helpful."
What are you noticing about your response to the recent terror attacks as well as other people's responses? Do you have fixed views?

Posted the link on my “Keeping It Simple, Keeping It Kind” FB page. This thoughtful post is much appreciated.
I was really touched by it when I read it on Maia Duerr’s FB page. It keeps running through my mind while I’m listening to the alarmist rhetoric on TV.
