March 8: Abundance

King Cake from Wikipedia

 infinite abundance

on Fat Tuesday, I found the baby
obligating me to your salvation
burning the lard in a cosmic lullaby
leading to the world’s liberation

Today is the beginning of Mardi Gras.  Reflect on abundance.

Abundance--everything I have is considered abundance, even though I go deeper in debt I have more than enough to eat, to wear, and a roof over my head. I was born with nothing, and I expect to take nothing with me. Relationships and things of the spirit are what matter to me.

To have plenty can be a good thing, as long as it is shared with your fellow humans. That cake is mighty interesting!! Here is my submission:

Mardi Gras... a city of much abundance... past abundance... future abundance... momentary losses devastating a city, but not the souls of its rich abundance of music, love, vitality.

Thanks, Pat! I am realizing now that there are days that I can't be as attentive as I'd like to be. But what I'm seeing is wonderful work by beautiful people.

It's funny, but I was going to say something very similar to what Mike Patrick just said. Oh well. What an abundance of ideas. What a wonderful thing.
