March 14: Patterns

 warped patterns

she falls to the rough wooden floor
cowering
today she spoke to pastor thom
and he saw flirtation, desire, wanton
taking the blame
again

young mary runs and hides
cowering
covering her ears and blocking the cries
fear taking root like a twisted thistle
impossible to root
out

she falls to the rough wooden floor
cowering
today she spoke to pastor jan
and he saw flirtation, desire, wanton
taking the blame
again

mary’s daughter, starr, runs and hides
cowering
covering her ears and blocking the cries
fear taking root like a twisted thistle
impossible to root
out

March 14 Challenge:  On this day in 1879, scientist Albert Einstein was born.  At an early age, Einstein showed great interest in math and science.  Reflect on patterns.

Clever: the pattern of history repeating itself. But this poem also continues the "horror" prompt, in that it is a story without hope.

Whether fractal theory, exponential notation, patterns in music, or human behavior, patterns learned early continue on in one life and are repeated by the next. Good poem.
