March 12:  Today marks the anniversary of the death of Anne Frank who died in 1945.  This brave young woman is well known for the diary she kept, capturing her time in hiding from the Nazi soldiers. Reflect on horror.

P.S.:  I would like to encourage you to visit Finer Friday.  This blog is being coordinated and run by a young person who is dedicated to creating a world of poetry.  In encouragement of blossoming talent and interest, I respectfully ask you to visit!  I'm lending a helping hand, too.  Shalom.

Today's headlines are truly horrific. I haven't even begun to think of today's poem yet - I am repelled by horror, and avoid it at all costs! Later, maybe, whe I've got my courage up!

Horror is watching abuse or tragedy and doing nothing. Horror is needing to make excuses for your actions or doing nothing. Horror is letting fear run your life.

Wow, CM. Now I don't have to read the paper tonight. You covered all the news that is the news, and put it in verse. Why don't the papers do that?

'Cause the papers have no sensibilities?

I am working hard at keeping my VES scale on a high note during this segment of my journey - I have discontinued my newspaper, switch channel at the news of radio and/or tv. Unfortunately, the world is rich with subjects to cover this prompt! I will catch up with you on the happier notes ~ In the meantime, have an awesome weekend ~ becca

Pat Cegan, I admire and feel passionately as you do about War and the aftermath of it. My oldest son is now home but has been overseas at least 5 times and seen the Horror of War. Thank You for this
