Dust to Dust

    In the Sierras there were places in the granite that had been worn down by Indians grinding acorns into meal. Often I would try to imagine how many years, how many trips from the valey floor, how many acorn meals, had it taken to wear those depressions in the granite? The giant sequoias had seen much. Thank you for sharing.
