I Choose You! (an Advent Reflection)

Our host today is Jane Brazell. I give to you, a poem based on Galatians 4:7. For more about Jane, please scroll to the end.

I Choose You

Stuck in a prison of thought --

"You're no good, no matter what."

Long days left to ponder

No rest at dusk, cold and homeless hearts wander

Dark nights give way to a new choice

The light of dawn brings a new voice

"I choose you. Come out. Come out."

Freed to be called "Beloved, no matter what."

So you are no longer a slave but a child, and if a child then also an heir, through God.
