It's been a long tough quarter and I am needing to recoup some energy and enthusiasm.  So, in true introvert form, today I hibernated.  Yes, I know spring is finally here but spring has found me before I found it.  I really need days like this one to stay sane.  Therefore today my gratitude overflows for my home.  My place of relative safety, acceptance, quiet, and love.  What more can I say?  Home is home and I am grateful. Today as I checked my registration for spring quarter and paid my tuition, I was suddenly reminded of what that processed looked like for me the first time around at this higher education thing.  Registration was a bubble sheet (looked a bit like what you see when you vote by mail).  Because I was on scholarship, I had to submit it early and take it to the registrar's office by hand.  Then pay my tuition which I had to do at the bursar's office, again because of the scholarship.  Then if I needed to drop or add a class, chaos.  Drop and add was a large room with a bunch of tables with students running around shouting like on the floor of the stock market.  Now, all is blissfully done with a few clicks on my keyboard in the comfort and silence of my home.  It's so easy that I had completely...

Today I am grateful for the opportunity to learn another language.  I have known a little Spanish since my high school days but like most people I know I don't remember much from at class.  Now I know several friends who speak Spanish regularly!  They have offered to help me practice and gain fluency.  It is an exercise in humility for me as I am not good at it at all yet.  I stumble along learning little by little by fitting some Spanish exposure in each day.  I am truly thankful for their kindness, patience, and support. ❝The limits of my language are the limits of my world.❞ ‒Ludwig Wittgenstein
