Our Own Light Goes Out

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us. Albert Schweitzer

No one gets by in life without our own light going out and needing to be rekindled by the spark of another. This quote reminds us of the deep gratitude we should have for those who have relit the flame within us. I can think of many people who have done this for me especially recently.

My chosen family has numerous times relit the flame when mine was going out or had already been snuffed out by events in this world.

Now my light can help relight some of my jewish brothers and sisters as they are in mourning over the 11 lives lost this past Saturday at Tree of Life in Pittsburgh, PA. I pray for them daily.

Who are you grateful for relighting your fire and how are you going to use that to relight the fire of others?
