I'm having a hard time finding Christmas this year. The tree's not up, I'm not listening to Christmas music the way I usually do. I'm having what, thanks to Elvis Presley, is called a Blue Christmas. (And 70 degree Asheville weather in mid-December is not helping in the slightest.)
This is for all the friends and family who have recently gotten bad news or lost someone. I know this is the worst time of the year to grieve when everyone else is rejoicing. I feel that way too. You're not alone. If you need a friend to help you through the season, please let me know. I'll do what I can.
Since my mom still says Christmas doesn't start until you hear "Blue Christmas," let's give it a try!
