terror

strobe-whiteness blinds me
obscuring the vision
revealed by prophet and priest
and i grasp at straws

 obscuring my vision
i beg to idolize manifestation
and i grasp at straws
terrified by witnesses

begging to idolize manifestation
revealed by prophet and priest
terrified by the witness
strobe-whiteness blinded me

He did not know what to say, for they were terrified.

I think I would have responded the same way.

How wonderfully, perfectly you wrote about the disciples' terror in being questioned. How well we can all identify with that reaction, given the circumstances!
