Magical Lenses

And then I could not see to see.

The pressure grew and grew

And then I could not see to see.

I learned to see in other ways

To see with my heart

Instead of my eyes.

I learned to see in other ways

When I could not see to see.

I'm working my way through a book called The Daily Poet for a new daily practice. I love some of what I'm making through putting my experiences into words in a different way. This one talks about how it felt when the pressure inside my skull was growing, and my vision was affected. I had the surgery on January 20, and I'm still waiting to see how much of my vision will actually come back to the level it was at before I got sick.

At least I'm learning to see things differently.
