April 1: What got you here?

here i sit
listening to
“so now you know you got a ‘G’ ”
music lessons
wondering exactly
how did i arrive
at this spot of
       hearing
a too loud piano
sleepily drinking my
coffee
and typing worrying
over doing my
       homework.

it is more than the
vehicle that travelled
the winding road
over the flooding
       river.

i remember warmth
of love one night
long ago as we
weathered another
storm and mourned
the loss of another
       one
but in the loss
we created a moment
of joy that led to
an even bigger
       joy.

so no matter how
many flooding rivers
i have to cross or
how much bad
        music
i must hear

it is all counted joy.

Counting all for joy, is the way to fill your heart with all that is meaningful. Thanks for sharing.

i loved the beautiful optimism of this poem- we should live like it, create beauty from the darkest hours.

so no matter how many flooding rivers i have to cross or how much bad music i must hear it is all counted joy. Lovely ... I think .... to receive the miracles and gifts God has waiting for us to receive ... we must open our hearts and eyes to the JOY and Gratitude; our core essences!
